Bainbridge Rock Academy
The Rock Academy gives young people the chance to spend a week learning how to play in a band and make new friends. With the guidance of trained, experienced tutors, we help you learn your favourite songs and write new songs as a band.
The week begins with students being divided into bands. Then we find similar musical tastes between all the band members and some songs that everyone would like to learn. Towards the second half of the week, after the students have learned some songs, we start leaning towards writing. By the end of the week all the bands will have a small set of originals and covers to perform to friends and family at the end of term gig. Hopefully the students will look to keep the bands together, and take their first steps to rock stardom!!
This week is a great way to show the students how great it can be playing in a band, because that's what playing music is all about!
